Scholars, Ministers of Religion presidents of Nations are often given special invitation to deliver a speech or present a paper, commission a project, address a foreign nation, or preach the word of God. It gladdens their heart when such invitations come because, depending on the imitation, they have the opportunity to become exposed to express their profession or to meet important people. As a matter of fact, we all tend to feel good when we receive an invitation to a special affair.
In Matthew 11:28 all of us have the most important invitation of all time. Jesus invites us to, “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest". The biblical interpretation of load, particularly in this context, means yoke of ungodliness (sin)...
Question:
Why the invitation to those who are carrying heavy load of sin and are they tired from it?
Answer:
Because Jesus Christ have made it possible for each of us to find relief and rest from sin. He already carried the load for us when He suffered on the cross of Calvary. Isaiah 53:5 teach us how he did it “But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered and the blows he received" Acts 4:12 goes on to tell us something that is very important. It says that Jesus Christ is the only person who can bring us relief from the load of sin: “Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us"...
Your load of sin will be lifted from you, but you must first acknowledge your sins. What do you do next? Confess your sins before God with a readiness to forsake such sins and accept Jesus in your Life. Roman 10:9 says; “If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved". When you acknowledge your sins confess them to Jesus, forsake them and accept Jesus in your life, you will trust Him to save you. Romans 10:10 says: “For it is by Faith that we are put right with God, It is by Our confession that we are saved".
Dear reader, come to Jesus now. He is calling you by this invitation. Accept His invitation. Don't say ‘No'!..
Say this prayer with me:
“Oh, Lord, I am sorry for having lived a sinful life. I realize I have fallen short to your Glory. Now I confess my school sins to you and ask you to forgive me through Jesus Christ"... Amen!.....
Now believe you are saved by faith in Lord Jesus Christ.
